There’s good skin-care and then there’s great skin-care. The difference between the two, IMHO? A hand cream. It’s important to moisturize our hands regularly: It’s something that the American Academy of Dermatology Association avidly preaches, especially after washing your hands, which you’ve likely been doing a lot more of in the last year-and-a-half. Unlike other parts of the body, our hands are being wash all throughout the day, which can strip the skin of its natural oils. And when hands don’t get enough moisture, they can get dry, rough, and even calloused—especially during the colder months. But thankfully, with this Caudalie Hand and Nail Cream, we can fight off that kind of super dehydration.
This hand and nail cream is my ultimate go-to. Packed with a strong lineup of nourishing ingredients, this hand cream is designed to help make your skin feel quenched—and then some. With most hand creams and body lotions I’ve tried in the past, I run into the problem of short-lived hydration and/or oily formulas. But that’s not the case with this Caudalie moisturizer.

Sure, most hand creams are inherently hydrating, but this one surprised me because of how long lasting it was. Even after a couple of hours of working on my computer, I didn’t feel that I needed reapply (and I normally do!). I also love the texture: The cream feels pretty lightweight and has a smooth consistency. It also has a zesty-like scent that smells like “candy oranges,” according to one five-star reviewer (I agree with them). It’s also fast-absorbing and leaves your skin feeling extra soft.
It’s the formula that really helps the cream soar. Its star ingredients include grape seed oil, grape seed polyphenols and shea butter. Together these three help replenish the skin’s moisture and even help fight dullness and uneven skin tone. They also help combat dry cuticles and brittle nails, both side effects of being exposed to harsh weather and frequent hand-washing. Save the hands, and the manicure.
